Awakening my Inner Child in Universal Studios - Sentosa Island
That had been my first visit to a Universal Studios theme park

Taking a trip to Asia has always been one of my wildest dreams. Singapore was the first of six countries I visited during my four months traveling. I have this dream to visit Disney, but I think the destination will have to wait a lil’ bit more hahaha. Meanwhile, I was able to improvise and made my wish come closer to reality on Sentosa Island. Don’t worry, you’ll get it.
During my trip to Singapore, I scheduled a day to visit Sentosa Island.  There's a little bit of everything over there: beaches, shopping centers, hotels, golf courses, a water part, cable cars, well-reviewed dining spots - some of them with three Michelin stars in their curriculum - and Universal Studios, which became my pick for that day.

That had been my first visit to a Universal Studios theme park. I was not disappointed. On the contrary. I might've been happier than I should have been hahaha. It was the five-year-old in me that couldn't contain its happiness. I can't even describe the feeling. You just have to be there to feel it. The total cost of the visit was $100 SGD, including lunch, the park entry ticket and transportation in Sentosa Island.

Another good suggestion for Singapore is the boat ride on the river that crosses the city. Lasting around 45 minutes, the ride costs $25 SGD.  Try it at sunset, so you see the city by day when you are going, and the lighting of the buildings at night. I really wanted to take this tour aong the river because I wanted to see the Super Trees from another angle. Unfortunately, I only found out that the boat wouldn't get near them when we turned back to our starting point. The ride is cool, but I'm not sure if I would've taken it if I knew it didn't go all the way to the end.

There are countless things to do in Singapore, unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time. If I had had more time, I would have visited Sentosa Island at least two more times, the National Museum of Singapore as well, the Art Museum, built shaped as a flower, and Marina Barrage, with an interactive gallery on sustainability.
If you have been there, or are scheduling a trip to the country, share your travel tips here. Writing this text, I figured I’ll have to go back to Singapore pretty soon.
